  What is Harm
Harm is the abusive action towards a child or young person. Without effective support, harm experienced in childhood can have long-term effects on individuals and communities
What is unacceptable risk of harm
A child or young person is at unacceptable
risk of suffering harm unless someone
takes preventative action
 Types of Harm
As a result of abuse or neglect, children and young people can
experience:
• Physical harm
• Emotional harm
